Local Emergence is program of group coaching for rising local government leaders with an emphasis on adaptation. Beyond training, Local Emergence focuses on the experiences of each participant in effecting change within their own organization and sphere of influence. Facilitated by the coach, participants work through an iterative process of observing, interpreting, and intervening that builds their leadership abilities. Structured group activities and discussions reveal commonalities and build a creative and supportive peer network. Local Emergence empowers change agents to be intentional in their actions for more empowered and rewarding public service.
Eligible participants included:
Presidents and Chairs of Governing Board of municipal government or authority
Chairs of Finance, Budget or other approved policy-recommending committee
Not in final year in office/facing election during engagement
Two years experience or completion of some form of newly elected official orientation program external to your own organization.
